How it works

Questions
Compressing a PDF to a size
How do I compress a PDF to under 1MB?
Tap the 1MB preset (or type 1 and choose MB), drop your PDF, and click “Compress to target.” Kilo finds the highest quality that stays under 1MB and lets you download it — all in your browser, nothing uploaded.
Compress a PDF to 100KB or 200KB for a form
Government and job portals often cap uploads at 100–500KB. Enter that exact number and Kilo will get the PDF under it, scaling the pages down a little if the target is very tight.
Will the text still be selectable?
This tool rasterizes pages to hit an exact size, so text becomes part of the image (not selectable). That's ideal for scans and strict limits. If you need to keep selectable text, use the regular Compress PDF tool.
Is it free and private?
Completely. No sign-up, no watermark, no limits — and your PDF never leaves your device, because all the work happens in your browser.
